The Montblanc Gandhi is the very first model from of the Great Characters Series. The specimen here offered for sale comes with a low VIP limitation number (below 100: 0041/3000), an uncommon B nib configuration as well as with all original box, papers and packaging (full set) including the scarce Gandhi ink!
White lacquer barrel, 925 sterling silver trim, clip with mandarin garnet. The design of the Limited Edition Mahatma Gandhi has been inspired by the symbol of Indias independence, a symbol also of Gandhis actions: the spinning wheel. The design of the surface of the lacquer recalls the fine structure of cotton. The cap and cone with their complex ornamentation of Ag 925 sterling silver symbolize the thread, the mandarin garnet on the clip represents the orange in the Indian flag and reflects the high symbolic value of the spinning wheel. A superb, near mint condition example.
Some nice patina to the sterling silver endpiece. The pen has neve been used nor inked. We use only high quality materials such as double wall cardboard boxes, extra large buble wrap, polypropylene packaging tape, pvc pipe with high resistance.
