Montblanc 221P 14K EF Extra Fine Nib Cartridge Filler Black Gold Trim With Pouch. The nib on this pen - as I've come to learn recently about MBs - is pretty smooth and a little springy.

There wasn't much feedback for such a thin nib, and there was ever so slight flex, probably 0.1mm worth. Whilst it wrote great normally, I seemed to find the sweet spot was holding it rotated slightly to the left.

The cap and barrel are like new, there's hardly any scratches or marks on this pen. Both ends still have pristine MB snowflake logos, and the trim is untarnished, except for the left hand side of the clip, which has lost a bit of its shine. The nib and section similarly are in great shape considering this pen is a few decades old. It needed a simple wipe down on the outside and it looked good as new.

The pen comes with a new converter (2.6mm European Standard) and the pen pouch with testing card shown in the photo. The pouch is a very nice design, however it is not padded, so doesn't offer much protection beyond preventing scratches.

For customers who have bought from me before this may come as a surprise as most pouches I provide are padded. Even though the pen has been thoroughly cleaned before and after testing, it's always best to rinse through before use. However I do sometimes allow for pens to be dip tested as long as the feed and cartridge don't get ink up, please message me in advance.
