The detailing on these pens is clever and the highlights include the vinyl record style lightly grooved resin cap and body. The clip is platinum plated and is designed to resemble the neck of a guitar.

The pen is then completed with an engraved self-portrait of John Lennon and the Montblanc emblem on the cap. The pen fills up with ink by inserting the nib into ink and twisting the mechanism at the bottom, like the Legrand series of pens.
