The pen has been very lightly used and is presented in fantastic condition. Only 16000 were produced and this is number 06140. Ever year Montblanc honour a great literary figure, as part of their writers limited edition. In 2000 it was Friedrich Schiller, known for works including "The Robbers", "Mary Stuart", "Wallenstein" and of course "William Tell".

The cap is crafted from amber, used to represent the changing of society in Schiller's time. This, along with the gold-plated trim, evokes the style of Weimar classicism.
