The pen has never been inked (the protective tape is still on the grip section) and is presented in virtually as new condition. Only 3000 examples were produced and this is number 1230. The Great Characters series has seen many famous names honoured by Montblanc and the Albert Einstein is arguably the most sought-after.

The platinum-plated body is engraved with his most famous formulas. Platinum-plated lines cluster around the cap in a grid-like pattern and these depict the curvature of space-time.

The dark-blue background reflects the depth of the infinite universe. The pen is fitted with an 18k medium nib, which features an engraving of the element named after him - einsteinium.
