Thanks for looking at this listing of an export version of the 1950s Montblanc Masterpiece 144 fountain pen. This is a piston filling fountain pen. Of all the Montblanc pens I own or have handled the 1950s 144 is my very favourite to write with. This is from the later 1950s, evidenced by its feed with grooves.
It has a medium nib. This example is in exquisite condition. There are very few signs of being over sixty years old. I'd say it's been used rarely and stored very carefully. The ink window is a gorgeous yellow/light orange (the celluloid 14x series all left their factories with green windows but virtually all of them have turned orange with time - to find one with yellow or green coloration indicates a very well cared-for pen).
Cap has no cracks; celluloid, snowcap, gold-plating, ink-window striping and imprints are all gloriously well preserved. Please check my other items for more 1950s era Montblanc pens. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me.
