The Iron Magician, was the master of reducing the effect of the wind to a minimum.
His hand touched many places around the world the railway bridges, the West train station in Budapest, the iron interior of the Statue of Liberty in New York, and the dome of Nice observatory. His name became forever memorialized for the general public by the Paris iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower. The pen to honor the master shows off the skeleton net representing typical Eiffels construction work. The engravings of the cone are inspired by Eiffel Tour patterns.
The Montblanc Gustave Eiffel features a skeletonized body in 750 18k grey gold, the metal parts are reminiscent of Eiffel's many structures focusing mainly on the Eiffel Tower. The Montblanc Gustave Eiffel is covered in rivets, such as those used to fix beams of iron. The Montblanc emblem is seen on the top of the cap in beautiful mother of pearl. The clip symbolizes a circle, one of Eiffels most important working tools. The cap top reminds us of the Observatory of Nice.The nib of the pen is adorned with the wind rose, representing the wind theme in the influences on Eiffels work. The skeleton net represnting the typical contstruction work of G. Eiffel (the cross and the'Nieten').
The engravings of the cone are inspired by the pattern of the Tour Eiffel. The cap is rememinding to the Observatory of Nice. The clip is symbolizing a pair of compasses - one of his most important working tools. The cap ring is enriched by his signature. The nib is decorated with the wind rose, representing the very important theme "the wind" which was one of the most influencing facts for his work.
