Only 6000 were produced and this is number 0235. Launched in 2009, as the yearly offering for the Montblanc Writers Edition, these writing instruments pay tribute to the 20th Century writer, Thomas Mann. Most famous for the novel "Buddenbrooks", the deep black lacquer and platinum striped design is reminiscent of the Art Deco era that Mann lived in. The interplay of colours and materials symbolises the different relationships between the characters in "Buddenbrooks".
