A rare writers limited edition Jules Verne mechanical pencil by Montblanc. This pencil is listed as used only because it is not boxed, however looks to of never been used so is presented in perfect condition and in perfect working order.

Montblanc have released a writers limited edition every year since 1992 and the Jules Verne is from 2003. The pencil is made from a metal with guilloche pattern and translucent blue overlay and is finished in platinum plated trim. At the top of the pen is the famous Montblanc emblem and just below this is the famous writers signature and the limited edition number.

In his novels, Julies Verne took his readers away on fantastic journeys: voyages around the world, deep under the sea or to the moon. He excited the imaginations of the people of his time with his fictional adventures, and also created a new genre: science fiction. Jules Verne is still considered the father, and at the same time the most important exponent, of this genre of literature. The barrel, made of bright blue lacquer with platinum-plated fittings, is surrounded by a guilloche consisting of evensized waves. Jules Verne's signature decorates the cap of the writing instrument. The pencil works with a twist mechanism and is fitted with eraser and accepts 0.7mm leads.
