MADE IN GERMANY 1946 - 1955. For your consideration I have this gorgeous and rare first version of the Montblanc 244 Fountain Pen.

Fitted with a 14K flexible Oblique Broad nib. Writes from B (0.5mm) to BBB (2.1mm). This is the first version of the 244 in celluloid with an ivory star. A flat ski-slope feed and the model number and nib gauge imprinted on the piston knob.

Roduced from 1946 to 1955. (The 244 was introduced in 1946 and untill 1955 was fitted with a flat'ski slope' feed).

The filling knob is marked'244' and'B. The cork seal of the piston needs to be replaced.

The piston operates smoothly but draws just a few drops of ink. Cosmetically the pen is in what I would call'near mint vintage. See photo's for details.
