Montblanc Meisterstuck no149 Fountain Pen. This is a rare early model dating back to the the late 1970s.

It has a gorgeous 14c nib which is often documented at the best nib for these pens due to its smooth ink flow. I have dipped it in Mont Blanc ink to test and I can confirm it writes beautifully. The pen is in great condition and was actually owned by a retired head teacher (I bought it from her) who used it only occasionally as she said it was a little too thick for her to use.

It has minor surface marks in the precious resin commensurate with light use. I have flushed, cleaned and polished the pen so its ready for its new owner. The pen is made from black precious resin inlaid with the montblanc emblem and finished in stunning 22K gold plated trim. Around the clip ring it reads Germany and does not have a serial number as Mont Blanc didnt start this until the 90s. Around the centre gold band it reads Montblanc Meisterstuck no149.

The cap is screw on screw off and when removed reveals the stunning hand made 14c two tone gold nib in a F = Fine size. The pen is a piston filler and the mechanism works perfectly as you would expect.
